Design Brief / Overview

Architect Ian Bogle's high visibility project in the heart of London's insurance district demanded an entrance solution that would blend seamlessly with the building's new contemporary reception, its stainless multi-faceted wall feature as well as providing excellent natural light and totally practicality for a high traffic area.

Solution:

Working out of hours and within a busy commercial area Open Entrances' fully customised solution includes two frameless, single glazed single doors which connect the reception area to the exterior. Extensive use is made of stainless steel feature panels around the entrance and also to link with the adjacent huge five metre wide window that provides high levels of natural light for the contemporary reception area. Creative feature lighting further enhances the impact of the entrance and the coherence of the design is completed by the concealed overhead Erreka automatic door operators and a new floating metal canopy above the complete installation.
