Design Brief / Overview

To create probably the world's tallest entrance.

Solution:

All stainless steel mullions were manufactured to the architect's design utilising grade 316 stainless steel. With single sheets of toughened laminated glass were manufactured at 2800mm x 6000mm to surround the two revolving doors. Revolving doors were manufactured using single sheets of curved glass at a height of 5000mm.

The revolving doors were stripped of unsightly safety mechanisms usually manufactured from large sections of rubber and angled heel detector buffers located at the bottom of each door rail section. Intelligent activation technology was utilised to replace sensor rubber strips known as pantron sender / receivers. Pass doors for disabled access with the dimensions 5000mm x 1000mm were designed to sit on unique double action in-ground swing operators with.
